About

What is Black Arts Techs

Black Arts Techs was founded to deliver “plugins crafted by composers, for composers.”
Drawing on years of experience as a working composer, the brand embodies the belief that “magic is technology” and that true creativity comes from the fusion of philosophy and technique.

Our mission is to bring a touch of magic and the latest innovations into the everyday workflow of music production.

Background and Achievements

As the founder of Black Arts Techs, I have composed for film and stage soundtracks, provided music to artists, led my own band projects, and remixed international acts.

These diverse experiences made me question:

  • “Are most commercial plugins designed primarily from an engineer’s perspective?”
  • “What if composers had tools that allowed them to shape sound quickly and stay fully focused on writing?”

From this, I began developing plugins — for myself, and for creators who share the same struggles.

Vision

The goal of Black Arts Techs is to enhance both the speed of turning ideas into sound and the persuasiveness of musical expression.

Our products are designed not only for professionals, but also as sources of inspiration for those just beginning their journey in music creation.

Commitment to Users

  • Demo versions come with minimal restrictions so you can fully evaluate them.
  • Full compatibility with macOS and Windows, tested across major DAWs.
  • Tools that support — never obstruct — your creativity.

Looking Ahead

Black Arts Techs will continue to develop unique, practical plugins that reflect the real needs of creators.

Our aim is to provide tools that feel like casting a spell on your music.

Profile

Dee Lee

In 2003, founded the industrial metal band 2Bullet, a name that became synonymous with Japan’s industrial, dark electro, and EBM scenes.

Alongside band activities, contributed remixes for overseas artists and composed music for visual works.

Since around 2018, expanded into composing for stage plays and theater productions.

Now primarily focused on soundtrack composition and songwriting for artists, while leading Black Arts Techs to craft tools shaped by a composer’s perspective.
